OUR SPEAKERS

Like most of those involved with the equine industry; I too am horse obsessed. I spent my childhood on horseback “exploring” neighbouring apple orchards, being scraped off my ponies by low lying branches and, of course, dragging my parents to the local pony club.

As my Father was a veterinarian, my career compass was always pointed to becoming an equine veterinarian. However, much to my parents delight, before settling into my tertiary education, I decided that I would travel the world. This adventure included a few years in livery yards in England where I worked, studied, taught and received innumerable riding lessons, which culminated in my becoming a British Horse Society Assistant Instructor (BHSAI).

Upon returning to Australia I initially studied Veterinary Science at Melbourne University, then discovering a great passion in law, I completed my Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University.
Today I work as an Equine Lawyer in Central Victoria, Australia, known in the Australia racing industry as the nursery of companions. I am undertaking a Masters of Laws with a focus on Equine Law. I am passionate about the sport of dressage and have high hopes for my two horses: Northern Capri and McMaster Diamond. I continue to teach and I am presently registered on the British Horse Society's registrar of instructors.

There are over 150 muscles in the horses body, some are small while others large, but all are integral for the horses movement.

If even one of these muscles is compromised, your horses ability to perform at his best is restricted.
